  MediaDefender Defends Revision3 SYN Attack

  MediaDefender is defending its recent denial-of-service attack on Revision3, the San Francisco producer of Diggnation and other videos distributed with the BitTorrent protocol. MediaDefender discovered Rev3's distribution tracker was open and filled with pirated content and attacked it after Rev3 closed the hole. "Our systems were targeting a tracker not even knowing it was Revision3's tracker," the company said.
